Carlos Trujillo: is an overly friendly and generous producer with an incredible love for his workers, an immense respect for his land, and an admiring drive to break into producing specialty coffee. His workers look at him like a father figure, with love and respect. The farm operates more like a family than a work situation. Patio Bonito is extremely biodiverse, with about 40 different types of fruits and vegetables planted there. Biodiversity is key to better soil, more diversified income, and healthier coffee. Lastly, Carlos Trujillo is focused on improving the quality of his coffee. He was previously selling market grade coffee at market prices. With improvements, from better harvesting to more focused processing to new raised drying beds, Carlos Trujillo is able to harness the wealth of his land and distill it into extremely delicious coffee.
